A Basketball Hoop for the Whole Family
Basketball is a very popular sport and a great pastime nowadays. It is fun to play and can give you the exercise that you need. Having a place to play basketball in your home is easy to do. I actually have two basketball hoops at home! This is game that the whole family enjoys playing and we can bond over it too.
The first thing to know when you want to buy a basketball hoop is that there are three types: wall mounted, portable, and in ground. The wall mounted basketball hoop is what I use on my garage. You mount it in the wall properly and you don’t need a pole to install it in.The portable basketball hoop is where the basketball pole and backboard are attached to a base where you can roll anywhere. This is a great idea if you want to play basketball anywhere you like. And the third one is in the ground, where the basketball pole is cemented to the ground.
The wall mounted is great if you don’t want any pole. The portable is great if you want to play basketball anyplace you want while the basketball hoop attached to the ground is the best. It can give you most stable hoop.
There are few things you need to consider before you decide where you want to put your basketball hoops. Consider the area of the place. Is it big enough that people can dribble around it? You also need to consider the noise your basketball might make. It can get annoying when you want to relax and you can hear people playing basketball. When this is the case do what I do. I just mount a basketball hoop in my garage. There is nothing like an indoor basketball hoop. You can play it all kinds of weather even if it rains or snows. If your garage is not tall enough then invest in a mini basketball hoop. This way, I’m disturbing nobody and have enough space.
You can also put a basketball hoop inside your home. The perfect place is the basement. You won’t disturb anybody down there. If you have a kid you can also put a basketball hoop in their room. Make sure that it’s small enough for your kids though. Another perfect place for a hoop and my personal favorite is at the side of the pool. This is fun game to play when you have a pool party. Your friends would enjoy playing water basketball in the pool.
There are many places where you can buy a basketball hoop. Try a sports store or buying them online. You can choose different kinds and designs of basketball goals that you’ll like. You can have hoops made from plastic or metal. Compare the prices and make sure that it is durable.Playing basketball with your family is a great bonding moment. Not only that you’ll get everyone to exercise and have fun.
